Tool Room Assistant
Under the direction of the Logistics Operations Manager, the Tool Room Assistant is responsible for ensuring scheduled tool requests are met and planned maintenance for the Company’s tools are completed.
Qualifications
- Education: The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED.
- Years of Relevant Work Experience: 1 to 3 years tool or warehouse experience in a contracting environment is preferred; prior experience in tool maintenance and repair is preferred.
- Certificates/Licenses: Forklift certification. Valid driver’s license. Satisfactory driving record.
- Physical Job Requirements: Required to sit, stand, and move throughout Company facilities. Must be able to perform job responsibilities in an industrial, construction site and general outdoor environment around heavy machinery and equipment. Ability to lift 0 to 80 lbs.
Skills and Competencies
- Technical Skills: This position requires knowledge of commonly used mechanical terms, tools, concepts, and practices; the mechanical ability to perform standard maintenance and repairs on common mechanical contracting tools; and proficiency with general office software and tool tracking

Key Activities
- Tool Inventory. Process tool requests, both incoming and outgoing through the company’s intranet tool and consumable request system and the Gigatrak tool inventory system.
- Tool Maintenance. Assist with inspection and repair of tools/equipment. Maintain quarterly and annual safety standards of tools and equipment such as assured grounding and fire extinguisher inspections.
- Consumable Inventory. Monitor inventory of consumables in tool crib to ensure appropriate levels are maintained and ready for disbursement.
- Tool Delivery. Coordinate with Tool Room and Warehouse Coordinators to ensure accuracy and readiness of tool requests that will be shipped to job sites.
- Warehouse/Shipping and Receiving. Assist with loading/unloading of trucks, delivery of materials and material/equipment handling on an as needed basis.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Participate in the development and implementation of Company best practices.

Perform periodic tool inventory to evaluate the accuracy of the Asset Management software. Periodically inventory truck tool inventories.
- Tool Maintenance. Perform standard maintenance and repairs on tools. Utilize experience and judgment to contract tool repairs. Recommend and then perform maintenance program for key tools/equipment. Verify the proper functioning of returned tools to ensure they will be effective when next deployed.
- Tool Charges. Maintain system of charging tool rental to GMP projects.
- Tool Replacement. Recommend necessary tool replacements or additions. Keep current with industry tool modifications/improvements. Research tool acquisition. Obtain competitive bids for purchase of replacement or additional tools.
- Tool Delivery. Coordinate tool delivery or transfer of assets with Logistics Coordinator to coincide with material/equipment deliveries.
- Participate in the development and implementation of Company best practices.

Laser/Plasma Operator
AGI Fabricators is a premier fabrication company located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We reside in a 180,000 square foot facility and maintain state-of-the-art equipment. We are actively searching for full-time laser and plasma table operators.
Job Summary
- Set up and run fiber laser and/or plasma table
- Changing of machine parameters to adjust for different materials
- Review manufactured drawings to ensure parts are processed correctly
- Material handling (loading and unloading of material)
- Sort and finish cut parts (remove tabs/burrs, etc.)
- Accurately count, tag and route parts to the next operation
- Maintenance and repair of machines. Includes cleaning machines, cleaning the dust collector & overall maintenance
Job Requirements
- Prior experience on laser and/or plasma equipment
- Must be able to read and comprehend part documentation (blue prints, tolerances, inspection criteria)
- Knowledge of sheet/plate materials and grades
- Ability to use standard measuring devices (caliper, tape measure, etc.)
